All military members receive a free pass to the site with their Military ID.
* Note about the Mount McGregor Correctional Facility * 
The Grant Cottage shares the land with the Mount McGregor
 Correctional Facility, a medium security prison for men. 
Prior to your ascent to the Cottage, a routine check-in at the gate is required.  Weapons, firearms, and photography of the inmates is prohibited

DIRECTIONS

The Grant Cottage is located just north of Saratoga Springs, NY.
From I-87, the Northway
Take exit 16 West on Ballard Rd. (County Rt. 33) to the intersection at Rt. 9. Go through the intersection onto Corinth Mountain Rd. (County Rt. 101). Take the first right and follow the signs up the mountain to Grant Cottage.
